About the SJR Football Program
At Saint Joseph Regional High School (SJR), it is our mission to provide opportunities for all our students to pursue and develop well-rounded and healthy lifestyles. We are committed to developing the gifts and talents of all of our student-athletes while maintaining an athletic program that continues our tradition of making history and building futures for all our Green Knights.
SJR Football Program Mission
SJR Football seeks to take grade school young men and teach them how to develop pride in themselves, their team and their school. Our athletes will fully understand what it means to dedicate themselves to the goals of the team.
The goals of our coaches are to develop leadership skills in each athlete, teach our athletes to handle and overcome adversity and most importantly begin each season as a team and end as CHAMPIONS.
SJR Football fully understands that we are a component of the ultimate mission of St. Joseph Regional H.S.: developing the “Vir Fidelis” – The Faithful Man.
Head Coach Augie Hoffmann ’99
Augie Hoffmann has lived a football life. He has played and thrived at every level of competitive football in high school, college, the pros, and now in coaching.
Augie played Offensive Guard for SJR from 1995- 99. Throughout his immensely successful high school career, Augie was recognized for his dominant O-Line play with all-league, all-county, and all-state honors.
He went on to play football at Boston College (4 years varsity), where he earned First Team All Big East honors and the coveted Scanlan Award at BC – the highest honor bestowed upon a BC football player.
In 2006, Augie was signed to a free-agent contract by the New Orleans Saints and played in NFL Europe.
After three seasons, Augie returned to his alma mater, Saint Joseph Regional High School, to start his coaching career in 2009. He coached the freshman team before becoming varsity offensive line coach in 2011, a position he held until 2014 when he became Varsity Head Coach at SJR.

The 33-acre Saint Joseph campus boasts some of the finest athletic facilities in the area, including the Robert J. Dinallo Stadium, a gymnasium, soccer field, two baseball diamonds, batting cages, lacrosse field, outdoor track, four tennis courts, wrestling room, and field house with weight training equipment well as a full locker room and shower facilities. The Anthony M. Dinallo Athletic Center provides students with a modern weight training and locker room facility.
